My name is Ms. Jennifer, and I’m a full-time online English tutor with over eight years’ experience in the classroom teaching all secondary grade levels, including AP English Language and Literature, American and British Literature, Honors I-IV, and French I and II. I also hold a B.A. in English (Dean’s List), minor in French (two classes away from a double major), and a M.A. in Teaching English (3.86 GPA) in addition to certifications in instruction for a host of learning disabilities like ADHD, dyslexia, and autism. I’m passionate about awakening students joy for reading and writing, helping them to think critically about what they read and see, and guiding them to master a range of higher-level skills in rhetoric, argumentation, evidence, and advanced writing and reading. In the few years I’ve been tutoring, I’ve helped students across the country – and the globe – to win and place in numerous writing competitions, excel in their English classes and on a plethora of exams. My students have achieved mastery across the board on the ACT, SAT, and other state and national exams using a skill-by-skill, systematic approach to test preparation and a comprehensive curriculum of homework, drills, and focused lessons. Voted favorite teacher three years in a row by every senior, I always strive to make learning engaging, relevant, and impactful.
